Private gifts from alumni and friends support College of Biological Sciences (CBS) activities that directly benefit students and faculty and enrich the quality of academic programs and campus life.

You can be a part of the College's future by giving to an existing funding effort or by working with a development professional to customize a gift that meets your philanthropic goals. Types of gifts include cash, securities, real estate, pledges, and more.

You can give cash to the college:

  • Act Now! Learn about Giving Online - Make a gift today! Support the College of Biological Sciences by donating to the College's unrestricted gift fund.
  • Dean's Circle - An annual gift to the college of $1,000 or more grants you membership to the CBS Dean's Circle.

You can invest in learning:

  • Endowments. Endowments are a time-honored method for supporting and building academic programs. They provide a stable income for the university from investment income and foster academic excellence, enabling UC Davis to recruit and retain the best faculty who in turn will attract other top faculty and students. The garden was established through generous contributions from the Gifford family, UC Davis faculty and staff, and former students and colleagues of the professor.
